When is the McDonald’s Holiday Pie back?

McDonald’s is launching the festive season with a sweet treat we all love — the Holiday Pie.

This pastry features a vanilla custard in a flaky, buttery crust, glazed with sugar and topped off with rainbow sprinkles, per USA Today.

McDonald’s is offering this desert through early January at select locations across the U.S., including Texas, Oregon, Ohio, California, Illinois, New York and parts of New England, according to KRON 4 in California.

Twitter suggests that many have already got their hands on this delicious treat.

These pies were first introduced in 1999, served inside promotional packaging for “Toy Story 2,” according to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. And, according to a McDonald Fandom page, this pie “is arguable one of the rarest Mcdonald’s menu items to date.”

McDonald’s has more in store for you with the “Mariah Menu,” in partnership with Mariah Carey. This menu will debut on Dec. 13, featuring select free items each day through Christmas Eve with a $1 minimum purchase on the McDonald’s mobile app, per USA Today.

“Bringing together some of our favorite food from McDonald’s with my all-time favorite season is a holiday wish come true,” Carey said, per the report.

According to CNN Business, McDonald’s saw a jump in sales by 12% compared to last year, partly because of the celebrity meals.
